Subject: RE: In his defense

He had the larger cables laying on the counter. I took the larger AND the smaller. Put the smaller on and stocked the larger for some other use or if--------? Smaller worked in this application but still have more confidence in the larger.

Sometimes my reasoning doesn't always work, especially when it comes to electricty. From some of the other post and explanations it obvious there is some misunderstanding and complexaty as to electrical current movement.

And for the comment about small, cheap discount store cables in one post, most are a few large wires instead of a lot of small wires which according to another post may be more the reason they don't work well instead of cable size.

Most of my experience with inadaquate booster cable success comes from poor connections between the clamp and the wire even with quality cables. fwiw
