One has to wonder how much concern these well meaning scholars and scientists would put into global warming if there wasn't massive amounts of grant money available internationally.  If no government or political interest party would sponsor the research, I doubt any of these people would give rat's behind about it.  There was no money thrown around in the '70s with global cooling so it died a comfortable death.  Money and Science, heh heh heh.  Regardless of the data, money will win.
