Subject: RE: Challenger Tractors

SE North Dakota
I realize these are AGCO tractors painted yellow, but in my area these tractors are marketed and serviced by CAT DEALERSHIPS. I think that is the whole point of painting them yellow. This allows CAT DEALERSHIPS that previously sold ag machinery to continue to utilize the yellow brand loyalty. With that being said, everything yellow is bumped up in price compared to dealerships servicing other AGCO lines. I often buy common parts shared by other AGCO tractors at competing AGCO dealerships because they are CHEAPER. For example: Challenger dealer labor rate: $92/hr. Agco dealer $68/hr This sort of thing appears to run through the entire parts inventory more or less (filters, belts, etc). Tell your friend if he has a decent Agco dealer nearby, that he can get the same tractor with cheaper parts support there.
