Remove tension from upper feederhouse drive belt then check the tightener pulley. We had one get noisy, like you say annoying in the cab. Pulley bearing never got hot. I loosened the bolt and turned the inner race a bit thinking a different wear spot might help, but it took a new pulley to make things quiet.
