| We had the perfect solution where I worked for over 4 years.
Here's what you need to do:
1) get a pair of wire fence or barb wire pullers, ratched, you can get one from any store that sells supplies for farms and ranches.
2) get two vise-grips per fence puller you get.
3) cut off the fencing clamps, but leave the plate they're welded to on the pullers, then take the vice- grips turn them upside down so the back of them can rest on the plate, lift up the handle enough so you will be able to grab and turn the adjustment knob when you're done and weld the vice-grips on. do the same for each one.
With that done, you can now use them on any kind of conveyor belt you have, black, white, brown, (whatever), diamond top, interlox, if using on long belts, inclines/declines, or you're belts are wide, then use two pairs, one for each side of the belt to keep from damaging the belt. Also, don't put the belt too far into the vice-grips' jaws, or you'll cut the belt!
Good luck! | |
