SW Ontario | It is a pretty fancy looking dipstick.......by the time you hammer out a rod and stamp the letters "FULL" into it, you'll do $36 worth of work at union wages. Really though, how often do you have to check the oil in a season? Just use a pipe plug in that box and keep the dipstick around for level checking.......From John Deere for $30 you get a much nicer dipstick with o-ring and threads you never see anywhere else.....and it's also vented(reverser drive dipstick).....that's a rip off if it's less product for the money than Deere......
