I made my own though it has been a couple of years ago. I remember it being made from 3x3x1/4" angle iron just long enough to catch the two bolts above the core plug. I think I shortened the top that attaches to the bolts. The most specific thing I remember is the bolts are a little short for the 1/4" material and they have a metric head on the bolt but god as my witness, the threads are standard 1/2" coarse. This is in a 04' machine and I simply couldn't believe the bother of making a standard thread bolt with a metric head. I smoothed off the corners of the angle but there has not been any problem with debris catching on it. There is actually plenty of clearance for this and it works well. Standard procedure at my dealer which is fairbanks international at Hastings NE.
