Ya, mine had plastic slides. Problem is that crap gets inbetween the plastic and the door and expands. Then the door is thicker then the channel and the door gets jamed up in there. I want to say the channel is 3/4 inch and I used 1/4 inch alum plate and 3/8 inch HDPE board for the slides. Not going to have time to do the other trailer this year, there is always next summer! LOL If I was behind you in line and you used that, I would laugh at you!
