farnerbob - 7/30/2010 21:57 them there are big words, testing all time highs. A few weeks ago most were saying corn in the 2's. As i was one of them. I still see too much corn in the country this fall.

 

I'd still be in the camp of sub $3 cash corn at harvest, possibly even sub $3 on the board following harvest.

If basis is any indication there is a lot of corn out there yet.

 

One crop report could swing this thing lower just as fast as it went higher.

 

As for all time highs, I'd say the chances of that happening are slim.  Feed demand is still not there, ethanol is likely going to lose some and possibly all of the blenders credit and the economies of the world are still shaky. 

Losing the blenders credit alone could drop $.50 off the corn market almost instantly, just look at what has happened to the soy-diesel industry, it has basically shut down.
