Hanford, CA
Salyer's strip...Westlake in it's hay day were farming 78,000 acres...now they are around 15,000 and mostly wheat. Westlake is pretty much out of the picture nowadays. Westlands water district bought a lot of Westlake's ground for water. Groound went for around 2K/ac. for the water. Westlake is working on a deal to bring in sludge from LA...how would like to farm around that smell? Scott Salyer (old man's son) now owns SK Foods, which they oversee about 200,000 acres of tomatoes in CA and have a plant in Australia as well. Boeing you know the area well.
