That's powdery mildew. I rotate a chlorothanil product with a copper product plus grow PM tolerant varieties and that helps. Now in my area biggest issue with insects are cucumber beetles. I spray weekly Asana or Permup (pyrythrin), after 2 consecutive sprays switch to the other, and that controls beetles and squash bugs.
