Subject: RE: Pumpkins and Irrigation

SE KS
I run a good fungicide/insecticide program. Rotating between two chemistries every 7-10 days for insecticide and throw in fungicide as well. Not having any insect damage. 4 acre patach is virtually weed free by rouging and spot spraying. I'm pretty anal about pigweeds!

I am growing Dependable, Aladdin, Gladiator and then some misc. 4 acres, rows 8-12' apart depending on variety, 2-3' between plants.

The reason I ask, last year I had some that hit a dry spell and didn't root down, the pumpkins were substaintially smaller. This gun and pump are going to cost some serious coin, which is why I am asking for you guys' experience.

Drip tape 1/4 gallon every 100' per hour on 12" spacing. Run for 5 hours water area is about 12" wide and muddy below the surface. Municipal water.

Thanks for the replies.
