Dig a few up and check the roots. I'm afraid either an insecticide tube was plugged if this was in your horseweed refuge. Even worse, if this was in an area of stacked horseweed, the GMO event may have failed and you have found an area of horseweed rootworms that are resistant to that event!
I nee to work on my fertility program ... the horseweeds are falling over
