Winterset, Iowa | Thanks for the comment Steve. The point I was making is exactly what you said. We were looking very good here but the excesive moisture is finally making an impact and the crops are starting to suffer. Those whole fields of dark green now have many large spots of yellowing and stunted areas and they are getting larger. The hay guys are really hurting with a lot of first cutting acres still untouched. Some of it on the ground for a couple of weeks and still not baled. Just checked the forcast and after Wednesday, it looks like we may get a break for a while with 5 or 6 days of dry weather. Also, we have guys still trying to plant beans for the first time. | |
