NE Indiana | We had the same thing happen. Finished up the last 30 acres on June 7th using bags of untreated RR seed so we wouldn't end up with treated bulk seed that we couldn't return. Conditions weren't great, but not all that bad. High temps in the 70s and 80s, so we figured no problem using untreated seed.
Couple inches of rain over the next few days on top of already wet conditions and large areas of the field just rotted.
Don't know if it was untreated seed or some other issue, but every acre that we planted with treated seed (fungicide & innoculant) has grown great this year in pretty miserable conditions. | |
