Martin, to answer your question. In years past my brother who does the planting would complain about the green rye plugging up the residue managers. This was on a 7000 john deere which was modified for no-till. That is why i sprayed the roundup first. Last year we got a used kinze planter that was set up for no-till. My brother forgot to inform me that t setup had less problems in green rye. If i had knowen that i would have sprayed the roundup and dual at the same time. If we use the row cleaners we always put dual on after planting. On the rest of the fields the roundup and dual were put on in the same pass.
On the problem field it received about .75 inch rain the morning after the dual application.
