Subject: poor timing?

Clark SD
On one corn field we have a lot more grass pressure than on the rest of our fields.
The field had volunteer rye growing this spring.
The rye was sprayed with roundup on may 17th.
The corn was planted on the 18-19th of may.
On may 21st a preemerge application of Dual II Magnum was made.
Is there a possibility that there was grass that was about to emerge on the day of the roundup application but was not touched by the roundup , then it emerged by the time the Dual was applied, so the dual couldn`t control it?
