| Never done anything to a Mfwd other than seals and oil.
No oil kills just about everything that is supposed to have oil in it.
My comment on the Belarus front axle has to do with strength of the axle and spindle. My uncles broke apart where the gears are on top of the spindle, after it broke the second time it was reinforced with more metal after being fixed and if he was going to carry anything of significant weight on the loader he had a bale on the 3pt for counter weight.
If the style of axle found on the Belarus mfwd tractors was truly that great of a setup you would see it on more tractors than just oddball imports.
For a cheap mfwd tractor a Belarus is not a terrible choice, not great but not terrible either. If you don't really need the mfwd there are better options out there in the cheap tractor department.
While my uncle had his I always thought it was kinda fun to drive once in a while but after driving it the first time I knew that we never needed to own one.
