Kansas | I'm running 1700 rpms.... Should I throttle it back more?
Creature comforts and Decibel ratings........ no comparison. Deere wins hands down. Powerwise... well, the deere is 40 more hp and I didn't change implements so in all honesty, I think it pulls as one would expect but what I do like is that slap shift powershift where I can drop a gear if I want or go up a gear. In hard pulls or otherwise. That is nice.
I spent most of my childhood farming career in a 4840. I feel like I'm back at home now in that 88 cab.
The funniest thing Les..... The supreme commander and the prodicle son all run caseih. Can't see anything but red. If I had my way, it all be deere down here on this ponderosa.
Lil brother was looking the 88 over one day. Told me it was the wrong color. I told him "nope, I called John deere and they said in fact that tractor is supposed to be painted green and yellow"............. he didn't know what to say. **GRIN** | |
