Must have just got old or else shrunk a little until it blew out. We've not had any issues yet with the VC gasket but ours were mostly all replaced when we bought the tractors. We had the valves set on each one of ours before we put them to work. A VC gasket shouldn't be too hard to swap and you'll be good to go again.
BTW, how's that 88 pull compared to the Versy? Gear up, throttle back any?
