Westphalia Texas [central texas]
cotton guy, was reading the thread that was started sooner this evening, every one is saying convert an old stripper , the problem with that is I don't want to depend on deere for any thing, their the one trying to cram something down us, thats why we need and alturnative, header on the front, air or conveyor belt to the baler, air would be eaiser to drop green bolls and rocks ,ect but don't have a clear picture of how to get rid of the air at the baler intake or the the burr exactor , I guess the burr extractor would be the best way, like the pull type baler concept ,because someone will always built a baler, or at least theres still some competion , stripper frame is not heavy enough, deere worked on that for years when making the picker baler,we have the tractors already, can get something for the row unit built even if deerre quits, didn't contenetial build the first extractor for the 484's
