Maybe a closed coop, when ya say coop, first thought is local fert, chem dealers........Heck of a great idea 50 years ago, now they seem to be just as private as the private guys, except the private guys sell for less.......(generalization, our electric coop is IMO what a coop should be).....

Not 100% sure, but i think about 30 years ago guys northwest of me were fed up with beet lifters, so they made thier own, went into manufacturing......WIC is the brand and are still made today.......Like everything its had its ups and downs.

If your ambitious and have a couple other fella's with deep pockets with same idea's as you, why not go for it?    First and formost, get an honest small town lawyer who can write everything in writing, everything, everything including what happens (who's responsible) if it fails.
