Subject: RE: New Radio...universal brackets?

Chebanse, IL.....

Ted

Did new mp3 radio come w/it's own universal bracket? Or-did it fit right into existing JD bracket?

Was all other wiring plug-n-play?

Is the volume control easily accessible & controllable? That's probably one of the points I like to see in a tractor radio. The Genesis/Buhler tractors have the best external bracket I've ever seen. It's actually a guard for you to rest your hand on while trying to make a knob adjustment on the radio. When you're working in rough ground the guard helps prevent accidental changes when you're trying to reach for a specific knob.

Can you elaborate on the dimming circuitry? Did you hook it up? If so-how did you find the correct JD wire?

I like the format idea & hope the radio works out. Thanks for the update report.
