Subject: Re: Tips for moving grainbin

central ILL
I moved a 24 ft. bin home 2 miles. I made 4 angle irons and drilled 3 one in. holes on one side and bolted to seams on inside of the bin on all four sides. Then ran a cable down thru the roof to top hole in angle irons. Hooked it to a crane. Then ran a come-a-long from one side of the bin to the other and done the same the other two sides and tighten them both equally to keep the bin round. We set it on a Donahue trailer and hooked a ratchet strap in the bottom hole of the angle iron and tied down to the trailer. Bin was 24 ft. butler 6 ring 8000 bu.
