Actually there are very few saline areas. They're all solonetzic areas and no they don't produce very well. I've been meaning to get soil samples from them to see why they produce so poorly.

They're kind of unique when it comes to water as well. When they're wet, they're the most slippery spots on the entire field, but when they're dry you literally have sparks coming from the air drills or cultivator when running over top of them.

We have done that to some extent, however we run into a problem with management of them. We have 3360 acres and about 6 fields. The largest field being 1100 acres. and the rest being in the 640 acre range.

I will look into a pulse, though. but that raises another problem which is manpower!
