Brownville Nebraska
Sorry guys I am from brownville Nebraska and thanks for the suggestions. I had an idea of getting a Boring Machine company to come in and bore in some 8 or 10 inch poly pipe under the wetlands (nonperforated) to the river. I would have the inlet on the unprotected side of my levee a few yards from the levee's drainage ditch flapper gate, and run the pipe to the river. This way I have protection from a rising river, and if water does top my private levee like in 2008 I have the big 36inch tube to let the high water flow off fast. This way everything is on my property. I would think the 8 or 10 inch pvc pipe could handle the last little bit of water. This farm only has to drain the water that rains on it.
