South Plains of Texas | Yep 4955 was one of the worst tractors JD made. I've had two, still have one of those. First one was trade off with 11000 hrs and original rear end and transmission, and is still running to this day. The other one I still have and it has 13500 hrs and is as strong as an 8220. Both did have motors at about 9000hrs. So yes I can't believe they can't build a tractor that can hold up any better than that. JMHO | |
