Know what you mean on the wet clods. We haven't started the strip till thing yet. We worked all our corn ground 3-4 times. Succeeded in getting it dry enough to bed, now having to put 3/4 inch on it so we can plant. I think that by bedding the ground, we warm it up, just a personal opinion. Our ground temp. last week was 48.
