Central IL | wish I had on farm storage and a semi to haul to direct to ADM. With only 60 acres I can't get the math to work.
I'm selling fall beans lightly, still holding some old crop corn. My CSP contract rotation calls for beans this year. Part time farmer and small acreage makes it painful to switch out equipment for beans/corn. You barely get everything adjusted and you're finished.
As far as marketing, my advice is do the opposite of me, however, it's hard not to sell some when you can make a decent profit at the price. It's easy to go broke waiting for a higher price.
I tried to cut and paste in here, but lacking a good capture tool at this point, here's the link for my local elevator. .34 bean basis .23 cash corn basis and .29 fall basis.
