West Central IL | I would plant more corn and buy insurance, not exactly sure what you are asking us. I am 80% corn, although I have been 70% for a few years. I just priced 10% DEC hedge to arrive. I plan on pricing 10% in March, April, May, June and July. Save the rest for later. I still have 30% of old crop left. Your nearby basis is much better than mine. We are -30. I am waiting for basis to improve to price more old crop. It usually improves when the river opens. I am in west central IL the Mississippi is closed from here north.
