Lander, WY | Wheat. Stands looked thinner than normal over the winter in my area, it's coming out of dormancy and growing, it may have been some thin spots. Alfalfa is starting to grow too, but I doubt you would see much green from the air in the hay fields. Depending on which way you flew out, you may have flown over mostly pasture land. Grass is getting greener here now too.
What do you mean by wet/drainage area damage? Crops thinner? Could be places that were drifted and snow didn't go away as quickly. Wet here is a temporary thing, I really don't think we have many places that yield is hurt by wet conditions.
Reservoirs are pretty much full around me, but the ditch companies around Keenesburg have some pretty senior rights, so they normally get full. I drove by lowest reservoir in Henrylynn's system last week and it's plumb full and is the last they fill. | |
