I never thought I would look forward to anything leaving our farm any more than a `79 model JD 8640, but this 4960 is sure coming close. There was another farmer's 4960 in the shop this morning that had the engine overhauled in March 2009. This time it looked like the transmission and rear end were the problem. Our rear end and transmission went out last spring so I figure this may be the year for the engine since it's not been done yet at 7500 hrs.
