My impression regarding spindly plants: a) they are not getting enough sunlight b) air temp is too warm and they are growing too fast A local commercial vegetable grower once told me to take your hand and brush it across the tops of the tomato plants daily. this is to simulate the effects of a wind/breeze. Me? I started putting my plants outside - on my back porch - this past weekend. Unless it gets really cold again, I hope I can keep them outside until they are ready to plant in the garden. |
