Center,CO | are you talking about just taking alfalfa right out and then reseeding as soon as ground is worked. is this on pivot irrigated ground. we have planted alfalfa back to back with this disclaimer in mind. we spray with roundup in the fall and plow it out. we then reseed in the late spring early summer, this gives the ground approximately a 7 month idle time. this does work but is not very kind to your ground and you will tend to have more weed problems. it will not work if you just take out and replant right away, you will have very stunted growth and not a very good stand. | |
