Southeast Iowa | I would stay away from that model of cat, often referred to as kitty cat or 31 Seventy Sucks. Friend had one in pete day cab and had some head gasket problems. And another guy I know had one and had to spend around 13,000 on overhaul around 500,000 miles. Guy bought one to haul grain and ended up hardly using it two months. Dropped 8,000 into engine and quickly got rid of it. Your right same truck with that engine will be 2-4k cheaper. Not to say others are problem free, just what I have seen and heard. | |
