Subject: Agortain w, Liquid Fert.-Any test data out there?

Manitoba
Have used liquid fert. all my farming career. Now its 100% down the middle of the seed row with airseeder. The fert. is buried with the seed. The seed is spread out in a 4-6" band. We're on heavy clay soil and have never(that we know of) had seedling damage due to its proximity to the fert. We grow wheat, oats, canola, flax, sunflowers and soybeans. Last year I used Agrotain on my wheat, oats and canola. Left some strips but yield moniter wasnt working. The science behind it sounds good, but I'd like some independent test data. When comparing with a neighbor who uses all dry fert. it seems we often have similar wheat yields but he has higher protein. Its like the liquid starts out strong but runs out of N later in the season. The cost of Agrotain is $6-8/acre. I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks.
