| My bins are empty. It is true the test weights are lower and there is less bushels in each bin. After it was all said and done the combine monitor was very close which it should be since it measures by weight and not volume. Bottom line is, does the USDA make their estimations from volume mesurments or from weight measurements. I know crop insurance companies check weight if you have them come out for an adjustment. I hope the Gov't is smart enough to know that weight is the most accurate measurement but I guess with them you never know. | |
