Salina, Kansas | From what I understand it is a result of a court case in the northeast last year. The judge involved determined that a spray nozzle was a potential point source of pollution and therefore required a permit to discharge possible pollutants and instructed the epa to develop a process to regulate. American Farm Bureau has been fighting but I believe all legal remedies have been exhausted at the moment until the process progresses further. At worst it could require a special permit for every nozzle each and everytime any pesticide would pass through it. | |
