Subject: Should I Chisel or just Disc???

tennessee
Wanting to plant beans behind corn this spring on my farm and nothing was done to the fields last fall. I usually notill, but I think this place would grow better beans if the ground was worked a little. I have a lot of clay in my soils and I think I have a compaction problem. I also put litter on last yr. and would like to work it around a bit too. I was thinking bout discing-chisel-disc-disc-plant but wondering if I just go in and disc once or twice and plant if that would be almost as good?? I know that won't help with any compaction, but it sure would be a lot quicker and cheaper up front to do. If I don't get beans up and growing fast the deer will do alot of damage. I feel like some tillage will help warm soils and get more oxygen in the ground and hopefully this will get the beans growing faster. Should I leave the chisel plow in the shed or hook it up I guess is what I'm asking. Will deep tillage make enough difference to do it? Bored on a friday night:) Thanks.
