Well, I would think the vac would be pretty instant so it would just require setting up a pretty big lead time in the controller. 

How would shutting down vac to the row unit affect the vac on the other row units?  would that create more or less in the other plates?  

I guess maybe you would have more skips as the plate fills up right at the begining maybe?
