...there's a huge difference between a farm which hires spraying, fertilizer application, has no grain storage, and maybe even hires harvesting, compared to one which does all their own work, hauls their own grain to the end user, hauls fertilizer from the port, applies it all, does all their own shop work, and on and on. 




Dang, you stepped on a lot of toes there including Rich's. lol. Us east coasters like to pay really high prices for inputs too, right Dinger? I worked with a guy from Kansas once that darnt near thought it was criminal for some of the custom app fees around here. Land rent is cheap though 'cause the dirt sucks and the landlords feel sorry for us because we really don't know what we are doing. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.
