Galahad, Alberta
I have been reading a lot on these pages trying to figure out what you guys will do with your seeding intentions, the crp acres, fertilizer, and the "ethanol impact" on corn stocks. It's making my brain cramp! Went to the Farmtech conference in Edmonton last week, trying to pick up some info. Can someone tell me what amount of distillers grain can be feed to cattle, and what the US feeders are adding to it to replace the energy that ethanol production removes from the corn? I've already sold canola and barley for next Nov and am thinking that I should do more barley, mostly because I think that we will be fenceline to fenceline with feedgrains on this continent next year. Any thoughts?
Rosco.
