I received a new Nebraska Farmer magazine yesterday.
www.NebraksaFarmer.com
It had on the front a story about a business that has switched from alf. to corn stalks for feedlot use.
2,500 head expanding to 5,000.
The article talks about using WDG's making the stalks work for them.
Maybe reading that article would help you answer your questions.
Enjoy.
