IL
I have a forced air LP gas furnace in my house. It is very noisy compared to anyone elses I have been around, and I think it is the gas burner making the noise. I think this because in the summer you don't hear the fan run for the ac unless you are close. About 2 of 3 times when the burner ignites it sounds like a semi is firing up in the basement and it feels like the space shuttle is going to lift off. Sometimes it almost sounds like a miss??? Then once in a while it is not as noisy. I have talked to my HVAC guy and he put in a new set of orrifices because sometimes they are not fully machined and rough edges make the burner loud, but this didn't help. Where do I go from here?
