Soutwest Ks. | "I think they can be had cheap, how about reliable?" I think that is a little stretch to put cheap and reliable in the same sentence especially if you are talking older AC tractors! (Sorry, AC lovers) In that price range you are probably looking at probably a 7040-7060 powershift. There weren't many of those tractors in my area, (none today) but I remember the 7080 had very poor engine reliability. The 7060 was probably a little better as the engine was de-tuned, but still nothing to write home about. Bonifide AC lovers may have a soul stirring testimony to share with you however. You are almost in the 4630 JD price range and there were many in my area with high hours with little repair. As far as I know the 7060 powershift had a good transmission, but it was a dual range transmission. | |
