You might be on to something there. That might explain why my 113 RM Golden Harvest hybrid (9127) acted more like a 117 day hybrid when I had it in a field with some Dekalb and Pioneer.

It was about two points wetter than my 63-42 and 33F88 both of which are 113-114 day hybrids.
