Subject: RE: applying fertilizer on snow

I would not do it - no how, no way.

It is actions like this that get all farmers in trouble.  That snow melts and goes downstream, taking the nitrogen with it.  Then government agencies like the EPA get all bent out of shape and issue decrees mandating how every farmer is to farm.  Then farmers get all bent-out-of-shape because they are being dictated to.  All because some farmer somewhere didn't use a little common sense.

Let that nitrogen set in the shed - pay a little more if you have to, and apply that nitrogen when it is fit to be on the fields.

My two cents.
