We have been running a disk ripper in the spring, works well here. We have enough wind and cows no ground around here gets worked in the fall, always has been spring tillage.
A guy tried fall plowing some ground a few years ago, all winter the drifts on the east side of his field were brown. Got in some trouble with the NRCS and the highway department.
