Subject: Re: 2009 crop yields for your area

Texas/New Mexico Stateline
My winter wheat last summer made 0 bu. My average is 24bu. Our wheat yields are highly variable, as we can be known to make 60bu on a good year and nothing like this year.

My milo/grain sorghum made about 40bu, which is about my average.

I had some sorghum/sudan hay that made about 1.5tons to the acre with enough regrowth to graze this winter. About average I suppose.
All my crops are nonirrigated.

I can't comment on our area's other irrigated crops (corn, cotton, peanuts, green beans) since I don't have any. Other than I think corn was above average, and cotton was about average.
