Depends on your criteria. In northeast CO, where average dryland yields are 50-60 bu/ac, we can't decide whether 30 or 60 inch rows are superior. So I just use my e-z steer on a 12 row planter and set the machine width at 30' 6" so that combining is easy without many narrow guess rows. Worked great last year, except it didn't rain mcuh and we only harvested 20 bu corn. I don't think it had anything to do with the ez-steer. ;)
